Privacy policy

The short version
Readworth works without an account. There are no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics, and we never sell your data. Your reading history stays on your iPhone unless you choose to sign in so it can sync.
What stays on your iPhone
Your reading progress, finished readings, reactions, saved readings, highlights and notes, reading preferences, appearance settings and daily selections are stored on your device. Readworth also keeps a private record of app activity, such as which readings you opened, that never leaves your iPhone. The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read today’s titles from your device.
If you create an account
Signing in is optional and lets your reading follow you across devices. We store your email address, your name if you share it through Sign in with Apple or Google, and an account identifier. We sync your reading progress, finished readings and reactions, saved readings, highlights and notes, reading preferences, appearance settings and daily selections. This data is stored with Supabase, the service that runs our backend, and each account can only access its own data.
Signing in
You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time code sent to your email. Apple and Google confirm your identity and share only what you allow. Email codes are delivered by our email provider and expire shortly after they’re sent.
Feedback
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and the app and iOS version included in the draft. We use this only to reply and improve Readworth.
What we don’t do
We don’t show ads, use advertising identifiers, track you across apps or websites, sell or share your data for marketing, or use your notes and highlights to train AI models.
Deleting your data
Go to Account and choose Delete account to permanently remove your account and all synced reading data from our servers. If you used Sign in with Apple, Readworth’s access is revoked too. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your iPhone. Synced reading data is kept until you delete your account. If you stop using Readworth without deleting it, write to us and we’ll remove it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and account data is protected so that only you can read or change it.
Children
Readworth isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
